Justin Rickard was invited to a Sydney business dinner to introduce The Honourable Tony Abbott, then a Minister in Australia’s Federal Parliament and recently Australian Prime Minister.
The Honourable Tony Abbott MP warmly thanked Mr. Rickard for his introduction, during which Mr. Rickard publicly predicted, many years before it happened, that Mr. Abbott would become Australian Prime Minister.
The Honourable Tony Abbott MP later wrote to Mr. Rickard thanking him for his introduction and exchanging ideas with him on an Australian economic issue they had corresponded about.
At the time Mr. Rickard’s accurate prediction was controversial and made national media news.
